Icelandic wool is a long fiber with very little crimp which makes a flat yarn that is similar to worsted. Garments are made from the fleece of yearling to three year old sheep and are very soft.
Shown left is spun Icelandic Moorit with flecks of angora and a sample of a long cuff (fingerless glove) made as a Christmas gift. The addition of angora provides loft.
Icelandic blend yarn can be custom ordered "brown" as shown or we can overdye the natural moorit with any color - a unique effect. My favorite is PURPLE over gray
